Halloweeny Dinner!

...or "A Good Way to Make a Kid Stop Screaming"

I'm posting again today because yesterday's post was so depressing, I don't want it to be what I see every time I blog stalk myself.

Having a day off and spending far too much time on Pinterest made me want to do something fun with food. My little 6 year old cousin came home from school in a baaaaaaaaaaaad temper so in order to help appease her and (quite frankly) stop the bawling- I decided we needed to make hot dog mummies and witches hat cookies!

She helped me every step!

The witch's hats are super easy. Fudge Striped cookies and kisses. I just melted a couple extra kisses to use as glue. If I had frosting around I would have put little bands and bows around them, but oh well.

The Mummies are just hot dogs rolled in crescent roll dough. They aren't exactly Pinterest perfect, but I didn't have anything for the eyes ("NO MUSTARD!!!!! EEEEEWWWW" [although I love mustard, remember this project was to keep the kid from having a fit])

The result was a fun dinner

and a happy kid.

Mission accomplished.
