Quick Visit

As soon as I got off work on Thursday I headed to Boise to see my brother and his family.  That was probably the best visit I've ever had there. We played a lot of Wii (I sucked before... and I remain the Sucketh Champion), and watched lots of movies.

On St Patrick's day I made everyone wear green (I had leprechaun boot socks and Travis said I was far too festive for my own good.) and a little leprechaun left us some Lucky Charms and rainbow of Skittles (I didn't get a picture of that. JaNeil did though... a little help?).

Donaven took a shine to me a lot faster than he usually does (he usually spends the first day or so scared of me) but I won his affection with Donald Duck cartoons on my Nook.

And Oren, well, I got to witness his first bite of rice cereal.

In it goes.

Out it comes.

He is just the smilin'est darn kid you'll ever see. Such a happy baby.

I played a lot of rounds of Five Crowns with JaNeil too. I kicked her trash a few times, she reciprocated, and there were a few that were really really close.

It was really sad to leave them today and drive back to reality. bleh.

But in TWO months we'll be headed to Disneyland! Woohoo!!!

Whatcha Readin?

I got a Nook for Christmas (not that that encouraged my reading- if anything it's hindering it because now I spend a lot of time catapulting birds and popping rainbow colored bubbles) and I've gotten a few books. I haven't purchased many- because I'm cheap and I think it's silly to buy computerized books that I already own in the old fashioned format.  But I've gotten a bunch of free stuff. Classic stuff.

I also listen to books during my car time. I'd rather do that than listen to the crap on the radio. So I've gone through a lot of books lately.

Just in the last few months I've read:

Seriously. Chapter 23. I want to die and live in that chapter.

This one took me a while to get through- but that doesn't mean I love it any less.

Any true Austen fan (and Colin Firth fan) needs to read this.

I just finished this today. I will probably read it again someday.

I've read all these before- but they're good enough to read more than once.

This one isn't my favorite of the series- but because it's in the middle... ya know...

This one is probably my favorite of the series. There is also a fourth book called Forest Born, but the library doesn't have it on audiobook yet, and I already own a copy that is packed away in my parent's garage so I refuse to pay more money for a Nook copy... so it will be a while before I get to it again.

I love. Love. LOVE this book.

Obviously I've been on a bit of a Shannon Hale kick lately- but to be honest, I've never met a Shannon Hale book I didn't like. I think the only books of hers I've never read are her graphic novel ones. I really don't have a desire to read them. Maybe someday. Probably not.

Today I started back in on the Anne series- I have all of them now so I have no excueses to not read them.

What Think Ye?

I need your honest opinion.  Does this seem like a scam to you? It almost seems too good to be true.

Hello,

Thanks for your email, I personally own the house, we want our property to be well taken good care, and there are some Precaution in which i do give out to tenant willing to rent my house which brings about safety of a home, so please don't be offended. But if you are still capable of renting my house the precaution goes this way..

You must keep my house clean including the surrounding, you must know the way in which you use the stove so as to avoid fire outbreak, you must not disturb the neighbor. We decided to rent out the property due to our transfer to (West Africa). My Family and I just traveled to Nigeria for a program Empowering Youth to Fight Racism, HIV/AIDS, Poverty and Lack of Education with Dove Christian Fellowship International on a Missionary Work, so we are renting it out since we need someone to take good care of the property on my absence and the house will be available for a period of 5 years. The program is taking place in four major countries which are Uganda, Japan, Haiti and Nigeria. Have this in mind you must know the kind of person that i am. Nevertheless i am giving you this Precautions because of what corresponded between me and my last tenant. The keys and documents are with us here in West Africa ... so i will need to ship them to you before you can occupy the house but you can drive by the house anytime to take a look.

We will be away for a while that is why we made up our mind to put up our house for rent to whom ever that will take good care of it. Please i want you to note that i spent a lot on my property that i want to give to you for rent,so i will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this house and want you to treat it as your own. Utilities include Water,Trash,Sewer,Gas and Electricity etc and all untilities are included for six (6) months of move in. The money is not the main problem but i want you to keep it tidy all the time so that i will be glad to see it neat when i come for a check up. I also want you to let me have trust in you as I always stand on my word.

Finally! Something to look forward to!

So... I'm pretty hard up for good posts these days. Nothing exciting to mention.

Except for the fact that in the next three months some pretty exciting stuff is going to happen! (what? Bakeshow? are you saying you actually have something in your life worth looking forward to?)

Next week I'm going to Boise to see my baby nephews!!! (and their parents. Hi Trav. Hi JaNeil).

Then, in a few weeks the much awaited movie event of the year!!!!

Are you excited? eh? EH????

Also- the same day of this movie release (poor planning on my part... oh well) I have tickets to see

I'm going alone- but it's on my must see before I die list. (wait... does that mean I'm one step closer to dying?)

and have I mentioned that soon I'm going HERE??????

It's gonna be a long three months!
