False Alarm

So, the way we talked about it the night we negotiated my return to the working world, it sounded somewhat trial-ish, but leaning toward permanent. Not so much.  My friend posted the job on Craigslist and interviewed three people for it today, and who knows if any more tomorrow.  I was told I'm only helping out till he can find someone with experience.

I totally don't blame him. He's got a business to run and it can't run on charity.  The truth is, no matter how quickly I am able to pick things up, it's a job full of confusing insurance crap and a lot of things to remember.  Those things take time, and his business can't afford to slow down and wait for me to play catch up. So I'm not mad at him- just a little bummed that sometime within a week- or less- I'll be back slumming it looking for a job.

Sigh...

DANG IT! I meant to ask you about your "first day" when I saw you tonight. Don't give up hope. Maybe something will drastically change tomorrow...
